Royal Birthday Party

Every girl is a princess and Yanni knows that! The theme for her fifth birthday party could not be any other but "Princess"! Her guests came to her party dressed in character as well. I could not find a dress suitable for my royal daughter so as the very dedicated dad I am I decided to make her a pink/sparkly/fluffy/bejeweled dress. Yanni even picked the fabrics to be used for the dress herself under my supervision...obviously - as she only bases her fabric decisions on brightness and shimmer.
The royal party was a success as princess Yanni and her guests were very extremely happy!

Animal Print Bottom & Denim Top

Animal print is the new black. I bought Yanni this animal print leggings  at Children's Place months ago and they are so versatile. We have created many looks with it (some of which you can see as you scroll down). The knot Denim top is a from DKNY. Besides being trendy it is also very ease to create different looks with it. To the look created above we combined black studded strappy sandals, aviator shades and a pony tail with a metal resined flower to add some cuteness to the easy hair do. And off we went for a playdate with some of Yanni`s buddies. This look was featured on the Fashion Kids Instagram and website. Check it out.

OOTD Embroidered Shirt Collar & Lace Skirt

White lace skirt, peach chiffon top with embroidery detail on the collar knotted at the waist, white sandals, round clear framed shades, headband decorated with rinhestones, bedazzled heart shaped key necklace, golden chain bracelet, and flower chiffon earings matching her top (all accessories picked by Yanni at a Forever 21 store  this weekend). That was her look for a celebration in church this weekend.

 

 

OOTD To A Trip To The Zoo

 This look was composed to a trip to the Zoo this weekend. Such occasion requires a comfortable a easy attire so that is how we went about it: Black sequined hat, round clear framed shades (which is trendy right now), a oversized Tshirt with horse print filled with galaxy print (print filled print is cool right now as well), black shimmery leggins, silver metallic converse, and leather studded bracelet.
We had a real blast at the zoo and later headed to the mall to grab lunch at the Rain Forrest Cafe to continue with the animal exploring theme of the day and Yanni looked cool and comfortable all the way!

OOTD Tank & Shorts

This past weekend we went to this beautiful resort called Waterville Village Resort in NH. We had so much fun that Yanni did not want to come back home. The weather was nice but still a little muggy as it has been for the past weeks. So for wheter such as this comfort and protection from the sun is required. This look is composed of denim shorts with darning detailing (which is trendy for denim right now), the black sandals from the last post and a B/W tank with a colorful fun print from HM. The hat makes it stylish and cool and keeps my baby protected from the sun. The green round shades are from Children`s Place. There you go! Ready for a fun trip to a summer resort with the family!

OOTD For A Hot Muggy Day

It`s been weeks since my last post! Life has been keeping me busy. But well! This look is from weeks ago when we had a super warm and muggy day here in New England. TheB/W animal print dres is from H&M (which cost me only $5,00) and a elastic belt with a leather bow buckle. The hair was put up in a bun with a black rosette, keeping her cool and stylish. This black sandals are my favorites right now since they are so easy to match with almost anything. Bellow is my princess with her BFF. Aren`t they cute?

Hipster Inspired "OOTD"

For todays "OOTD " we go back to our much liked animal print. The black short brimmed hat adds charm and protection from the sun while the dress is fun and easy to wear. For accessories light red shades and glittered purse from Children`s Place.

OOTD For A Nice Spring Day @ the Playground

 It was such a beautiful day and I took Yanni to the playground. It was sunny but slightly cool so that is the look we went for. The outfit has to be comfortable so that she can run around freely. We paired black leggings with a white T and a lumberjack style plaid shirt, boots, a bun to keep the hair off the face and shades to protect the eyes. And there goes a modern look for an afternoon playing at the playground.

Tivemos um dia lindo e decidi levar Yanni ao "playground". O dia estava ensolarado porém levemente fresco, então este foi o look que escolhemos. As peças tem que ser confortável para que ela possa andar livremente.. Para compor o "look" adicionamos calças legging na cor preta, camisa xadrez, botas negras, o cabelo num coque alto pra manter o cabelo fora da face e óculos escuros pra proteger do sol.
Pronto! Look moderno para uma tarde de diversão no parque.

The Hat Spring Look

I am so in love with this look! Yanni had this dress that I did not really like because of the silhouette (although I loved the color and the embroidery) so I decided to add a belt to make it more interesting. Besides the belt we added the old brown ankle boots, bracelet, shades matching the color of the dress  and to top it all off this gorgeous hat (besides being functional because of the protection it offers it is also very stylish!). She really rocked this hat!

Estou apaixonado por este look! Yanni tinha este vestido o qual eu não gostava muito por causa da silhueta "baggy" (apesar de eu gostar da cor e do bordado de chaton) então decidi adicionar um cinto pra fazer o vestido mais interessante. Alem do cinto adicionei as antigas botas "ankle" marrons de suede, pulseira marron de suede, óculos na cor do vestido e pra finalizar este chapéu (que além de  funcional oferecendo proteção contra o sol e é super "stylish"!). Yanni realmente "rocked" este chapelão!

Gossamery Yellow Summer Dress

So I wanted a yellow chiffon dress for my daughter and because I could not find it once again I made the dress myself. For accessories my princess is wearing an animal print oversized bow headband (Children`s Place), metallic golden sandals a white pearl bracelet. Summer perfection!

Eu queria um vestido amarelo pra minha filha e por não encontrar algo que me agradasse mais uma vez resolvi fazê-lo eu mesmo. Pra completar o look minha princesa usou tiara com laço em "animal print" (Children`s Place), sandália metálica dourada e bracelete de pérolas. Perfeito pro verão!

Two Looks, Same Shirt...

While browsing for clothes at one of the TJX stores I came across this beautiful pink knot top with details in lace on the sholder front and back and I had to buy it (knot tops are a big trend right now). Here goes two looks with the same top: for the first one plaid pants folded to a capri length, studded leather bracelet, hight pony tail with a golden bow and light golden studded sandals. For the second look shimmery black leggings matching her mom`s, the same sandals, golden bracelet, golden ring, and her down. 

Enquanto procurava por mais uma peça interessante para agregar ao closet da minha gatinha, encontrei esta camisa rosa com amarração na frente e detalhes de renda no ombro e costas e tive que comprar (blusa com amarração é super tendência pra este verão).  Aqui vai dois looks com o mesmo top: no primeiro look calça numa padronagem mais leve e moderna de xadrez com barra dobrada, bracelete de couro rosa com tachinas, laço dourado no cabelo amarrado num rabo de cavalo alto e sandálias ouro leve com studs. No segundo look calça legging preta resinada com efeito de gliter (igual á da mamãe), as mesmas sandálias, bracelete dourado e anel dourado, cabelo solto.

Golden Girl With Mullet T

 Here goes another spring look for my princess! "Mullet" t-shirt (made by myself for her - front in lurex knit with rhinestones embroidery along the neckline and shoulders and back in printed lace), metallic golden leggings, denim jacket and aviator shades (all by H&M), studded leather bracelets and super cute wedge sandals with a print that matched the lace on the T perfectly. My baby rocked it as usual!

Aqui vai outro "Spring look" para minha princesinha! "Mullet" T-shirt (feita por mim - frente em lurex com aplicação de "chaton" cristal e costas em renda estampada), leggings douradas, jaqueta jeans clarinha e óculos aviador (H&M), bracelete de couro com tachinhas e sandália de saltinho "wegde" estampada combinando com a renda da T-shirt. Minha gatinha "rocked it"!

Embellished Denim Shorts

Denim shorts are permanently present every Spring and Summer for being so confortable to wear. The not so new embellished denim trend that has become more popular since Rose Huntington Whitely wore the beautiful embellished denim shorts above (by Christopher Kane for J Brand) at last years Coachella is coming strong this year again and in a variety of styles: dip died, tie died, with apliques, hand painted, with prints and every thing else we can think of. So I decided to get creative and make my litle girl and fun embellished pair of shorts from some old gap pants she had. I bought a bag of this heart shaped cristals  at a local fabric store, fabric glue at our local Michaels & Craft and made some crafty magic. It is really easy and chip to make a fun pair of this and be on trend. You should try it!

Os shorts jeans são presença permanente a cada verão  por serem versáteis e confortáveis.  A tendência dos shorts jeans bordado não é tão nova mas ganhou mais popularidade desde que a atriz e modelo Rose Huntington Whitely apareceu com este da foto acima (Christopher Kane para J Brand) no festival de músia Coachella no ano passado. Este ano ele reaparece com força total e em uma variedade de formas: "dip died", "tie died", com apliques de renda, pedrarias e tudo oque se pode imaginar. Então decidi fazer uma par para minha princesa com uma calça jeans da Gap que ela já possuía. Comprei os cristais em uma loja de tecidos local, cola de tecido, tesouras e coloquei as mãos na massa. É fácil e barato, basta ser criativo!

Celebrity Fashion Kids - Jada and Will Smith`s Little Fashionista

Willow Smith is already a fashion icon and she has been since she was very little. The singer and daughter of celebrities Will and Jada Pinkett Smith has a daring attitude and a very edgy approach to fashion. The girl has a style that may not please everybody but that is undeniably fresh. The media and the fashion insiders are definitely keeping an eye out to her since she is expected to become a huge adult fashion icon. Well! I can not wait to see how her style evolves as she becomes a grown up!

Apesar da tenra idade Willow Smith se tornou um ícone da moda. A cantora e filha das celebridades Will e Jada Pinkett Smith tem atitude e uma forma de vestir extremamente inovador.
