OOTD To A Trip To The Zoo

 This look was composed to a trip to the Zoo this weekend. Such occasion requires a comfortable a easy attire so that is how we went about it: Black sequined hat, round clear framed shades (which is trendy right now), a oversized Tshirt with horse print filled with galaxy print (print filled print is cool right now as well), black shimmery leggins, silver metallic converse, and leather studded bracelet.
We had a real blast at the zoo and later headed to the mall to grab lunch at the Rain Forrest Cafe to continue with the animal exploring theme of the day and Yanni looked cool and comfortable all the way!

OOTD Tank & Shorts

This past weekend we went to this beautiful resort called Waterville Village Resort in NH. We had so much fun that Yanni did not want to come back home. The weather was nice but still a little muggy as it has been for the past weeks. So for wheter such as this comfort and protection from the sun is required. This look is composed of denim shorts with darning detailing (which is trendy for denim right now), the black sandals from the last post and a B/W tank with a colorful fun print from HM. The hat makes it stylish and cool and keeps my baby protected from the sun. The green round shades are from Children`s Place. There you go! Ready for a fun trip to a summer resort with the family!

OOTD For A Brunch W/ Daddy

It was my B-day recently and we went out for a brunch to celebrate it. The weather was nice but a little cold (a typical spring day in New England). Yanni`s ootd is composed of a pink long sleeve button down shirt, skinny light laundry jeans, ankle boots, light blue denim jacket, pink studded wristband and a pink plaid scarf to warm up the neck and finish the look (everything from H&M). Nice and comfortable for her to stay stylish and free to run around like she loves to do.

Comemoramos meu aniversário recentemente e para celebrar saímos para comer um "brunch". O tempo estava bonito porém bem fresco (como de costume durante a primavera aqui em New England). Para o look do dia da Yanni combinamos camisa de manga longa e botão rosa, skinny jeans de lavagem clara, ankle boots, jaqueta jeans clarinha, pulseira rosa de couro com "studs" e um lenço de padronagem xadrez rosa para finalizar o look e manter o pescoço quentinho (look completo da H&M). Bem confortável e mantendo o aspecto moderno e estiloso.

Golden Girl With Mullet T

 Here goes another spring look for my princess! "Mullet" t-shirt (made by myself for her - front in lurex knit with rhinestones embroidery along the neckline and shoulders and back in printed lace), metallic golden leggings, denim jacket and aviator shades (all by H&M), studded leather bracelets and super cute wedge sandals with a print that matched the lace on the T perfectly. My baby rocked it as usual!

Aqui vai outro "Spring look" para minha princesinha! "Mullet" T-shirt (feita por mim - frente em lurex com aplicação de "chaton" cristal e costas em renda estampada), leggings douradas, jaqueta jeans clarinha e óculos aviador (H&M), bracelete de couro com tachinhas e sandália de saltinho "wegde" estampada combinando com a renda da T-shirt. Minha gatinha "rocked it"!

The Black Dress Made Modern & Fun

The little black dress designed by Hubert de Givenchy and worn by Audrey Hepburn in the opening of the 1961 romantic comedy film Breakfast at Tiffany's is cited as one of the most iconic items of clothing in the history of the twentieth century and perhaps the most famous "little black dress" of all time. So inspired by Hepburn`s iconic dress I created a look adapted for my four years old princess. The intention was not to create a identical look but to emulate the elegance and add a childish vibe maintaing the comfort required when you are a active little one. The vest, the glitter wrist bands and the belt are from H&M, the dress is from Children`s Place and so are the shoes.

O vestidinho preto criado por Hubert de Givenchy and usado por Audrey Hepburn na abertura do filme de 1961 entitulado no Brasil "Bonequinha de luxo" é citado como o maior ícone do vestuário feminino na história do século vinte and com certeza o tubinho preto mais famoso de todos os tempos. Inspirado neste vestido ícone criei um look adapatado para minha princesinha de quatro anos de idade. A intençao não foi copiar o look mas sim captar a elegância e adicionar um ar mais infantil mantendo o conforto. O colete de pele, pulseiras e o cinto são da H&M, o vestido e os sapatos são da Children`s Place.

Celebrity Fashion Kids - Jada and Will Smith`s Little Fashionista

Willow Smith is already a fashion icon and she has been since she was very little. The singer and daughter of celebrities Will and Jada Pinkett Smith has a daring attitude and a very edgy approach to fashion. The girl has a style that may not please everybody but that is undeniably fresh. The media and the fashion insiders are definitely keeping an eye out to her since she is expected to become a huge adult fashion icon. Well! I can not wait to see how her style evolves as she becomes a grown up!

Apesar da tenra idade Willow Smith se tornou um ícone da moda. A cantora e filha das celebridades Will e Jada Pinkett Smith tem atitude e uma forma de vestir extremamente inovador. A garota tem um estilo que pode até não agradar a todos mas que é inegavelmente "fresh". A media e os profissionais da moda crêem na promessa que ela se tornará um grande ícone da moda. Well! Eu estou ancioso pra descobrir como o estilo da moça se desenvolverá na medida que ela cresce!

Fur And Shiny Leggings For A Cold Spring Day

What a beautiful cold spring day it was here in New England! It required a extra layer of clothing for some extra warmth. So here it goes: plain white T-shirt, shiny black leggings, black shoes and cute collar style necklace and a fur coat. The hair was let down to give it that soft rock feel. Chic, comfortable and cool!

Como de costume aqui em New England, tivemos um lindo porém frio dia! Para temperaturas mais fresquinhas é necessário camadas extra de roupa pra manter a temperatura do corpo. Então vai a composição do "ootd": T-shirt branca lisa, leggings com efeito brilhoso, sapatilhas pretas, um colar estilo gola com gliter e uma jaqueta de pele estampada. O cabelo ficou souto pra dar um efeito mais "rock" pro look. Chique, comfortável e "cool"!

OOTD Gone Vintage...

This look was inspired on the elegance of the 50's, the age of femininity. The dress is from H&M and all the accessories are from Children`s Place, except for the necklace (which I don't really know where it was bought!) The hair was tied in the back of the head and then fluffed on the top to create volume. And voilà!

Este "look" foi inspirado na elegância dos anos 50, a era da femininidade. O vestido é da H&M e todos os acessórios são da Children`s Place, exceto o colar (o qual na verdade não sei onde foi comprado!). O cabelo foi amarrado atrás e depois solto levemente pra criar volume no topo da cabeça. E voilà!

It Finally Feels Like Spring...

Here in New England Spring takes longer to arrive. Recently we had a gorgeous warm day and we decided to go out to a park near our house for a stroll and Yanni took the chance to show her new outfit made by daddy! It is a halter long dress with a full circle skirt and short bodice. The straps are braided and they are knotted behind the neck and on the back of the dress. To compose the look Yanni had a blue had (which was blown into the river as she looked down at the water over a bridge - bye bye hat!!!), a golden bangle and a white leather wrist band and to finish off the look this real cool studded blue sandals. The first thing she said when she put the dress on was: "I am a Cinderela!". Based on that I believe she loved the long blue dress and I hope you guys like it too!

Aqui na Nova Inglaterra a primavera chega bem devagar. Recentemente tivemos um dia lindo e quente o suficiente pra não termos que usar agasalho, então Yanni aproveitou pra usar o vestidinho novo feito pelo papai! O vestido é um frente única longo (comprimento super" trendy" para criança). Pra completar o look adicionamos um chapéus azul pra proteger do sol (o qual acabou caindo no lago ao soprar do vento- bye bye chapéu!!!) pulseira dourada e bracelete de couro, e sandálias com tachinhas. A primeira coisa que Yanni disse ao se vestir foi :"Agora sou uma Cinderela!". Baseado nisso creio q ela amou o vestido, espero q vocês gostem também!

Colorful Animal Print Peplum Dress

I really love the peplum trend and I have been looking for a peplum dress for my princess for a while unsuccessfully. So I decided to put my sewing skills to work once again and make my daughter a very exclusive made to measure peplum dress. In my search for material I found this gorgeous happy colorful animal print and had to buy it. Here is the result posted in this pics. I styled it with a light denim jacket (H&M), purple tights (Children's Place), purple studded shoes, white studded leather wristband (H&M) and an oversized flower sequined headband (H&M). Yanni loved it! I hope you guys do too!

Eu estou curtindo um monte essa tedência do peplum and tenho procurado sem muito sucesso um vestido peplum para minha princesa. Então decidi por em prática mais uma vez minhas habilidades pra costura and fazer um vestidinho exclusivo feito sobre medida pra minha filhota. Na minha procura por tecido eu encontrei esta malha com estampa"animal print" colorido and tive que comprar. Aqui está o resultado nas fotos. Pra compor o look optamos por jaqueta jeans clarinha da H&M, meia roxinha, sapato roxo com tachinhas, bracelete de couro branco com tachinas coloridas (H&M) uma faixa de paetê com flor "oversized" branca pro cabelo (H&M). Minha clientezinha e eu amamos o resultado e espero que vocês também gostem!

Celebrity Fashion Kids - Gwen Stefani's Little Fashionistas

In the coming days I will be creating a series of posts inspired on some of my favorite celebrity kids. To kick off I am posting on one of the most successful celebrity designer and style icon Gwen Stefani.

Nos dias a seguir estarei postando uma série de colagens de fotos de filhos estilosos de algumas de minha celebridades favoritas. Para começar aqui vai um "post" sobre os meninos de uma das celebridades/estilistas (e "style icon") de maior sucesso.

Gwen and Gavin’s boys (Kingston Rossdale Zuma and Nesta Rock Rossdale) pull off GQ-chic at their tender age, whether sporting  sleeveless plaids, zippered-up top and aviators or cowboy boots. You can sense the classic Gwen Stefani rocker style in her kids wardrobe which is always fresh, funky and original. Gwen created a line influenced by the japonese youth culture called Harajuku in 2012. It is still available at Target.com. Check it out! 

Os meninos de Gwen e Gavins (Kingston Rossdale Zuma and Nesta Rock Rossdale) conseguem exibir o estilo GQ-chic ainda em tenra idade. Não importa se usando camisa xadrez de manga rasgada, tops com zíper e óculos aviador ou botas de cowboy, eles sempre arrasam no estilo. The Mullet Trend

Turns out skirts and dresses aren’t the only garments bringing back the mullet look; shirts are too! Perfect for Spring with the asymmetrical design of the hemline, it creates a flowy edge, softening any look. I decided to make my own for Yanni since it is so hard to find anything mullet for kids! It`s styled with white denim shorts, colored snickers and a sequined band with a oversized flower on top. Yanni loved the flowy red top as she jumped around on that nice spring day we had yesterday!

A tendência do mullet não aparece somente nos vestidos e saias mas também nos tops como camisas e T-shirts. Tendência perfeita para o "Spring" com a assimetria da barra, ela cria uma calda leve que suaviza o "look". Decidi encarar a máquina de costura mais uma vez e fazer uma regata mullet para minha princesa, uma vez que é tão difícil encontrar algo assim pra criança! Combinamos a regata com shortezinho jeans, tênis colorido de cadarço e uma faixa de cabelo de lantejoulas com flor "oversized" branca. Yanni amou o "look" mullet que usou ontem pra brincar uma vez q o dia aqui em New England esteve mais quentinho!

AVEN for Edgy Boys Fashion

While browsing online I found this super cool brand that makes boy`s fashion named AVEN. Although I do not have a boy I was in love with their products. Here is a bit about them: "AVEN is a result of a combined vision between Angie Monson and Mitch Harris.  Angie, an accomplished family photographer, saw a need for another option for boys clothing as her clients expressed frustration in finding something for their children to wear.  In due time Mitch was introduced to Angie after returning to Utah from Los Angeles where he earned a degree in fashion design. Together they established AVEN in January of 2011.  Since the establishment Angie and Mitch have sought to bring an edgy, unique, street style for young boys and the savvy mom and shopper to the world of fashion." Enquanto surfava online encontrei uma marca super bacana especializada em moda pra meninos chamada AVEN. Eu não tenho um menino mas me apaixonei pelos produtos da marca. Leia um pouco sobre eles: "AVEN é o resultado da visão de Angie Monson e Mitch Harris. The Luxury Brands Logo "T"

So this is not exactly new, the logo t-shirts have been around for a while (since around 2010), but the fever is not yet gone and now they are making  kid`s versions of them. You can buy this Ts on many online stores, but carries them at kids, teens and adult sizes. Check it out!

As t-shirts com logomarca de grifes famosas não são novidade, celebridades começaram a aparecer com estas t-shirts nos meados 
de 2010. Apesar disso elas ainda estão em alta e agora invadem o closet dos pequeninos também. Você pode encontrá-las em varias 
lojas online. Eu sugiro  TopTeezShirts no site da etsy, onde eles vendem logo t-shirts em tamanho infantil, teen e adulto. Da uma olhadinha!

Stripes and Peplum

Black & white stripes are having its moment in fashion once again this spring. And inspired by that trend I decided to make this top for my baby (YES, I made it myself, I am a designer… remember? Haha, I am in this mood where I wanna sew for my baby all the time). I went for the peplum look since its also a trend that`s been sticking out for a while. And to pair with the top I made a fitted knit skirt in black. The shades are from Children`s Place, the head piece is a mix of sequin band from H&M that I added the flower to (it actually has a hinged pin and catch). 

Listras em preto e branco são fortes tendências para a próxima estação. E inspirado nesta tendência decidi fazer este top para minha gatinha (Sim, eu mesmo fiz, sou formado em moda…lembra? hahaha, ando nessa lua de querer costurar tudo pra minha gatinha). Optei em fazer o top com peplum porque tbém é tendência, que aliás esta na moda a várias estações. Para ir com o top fiz uma saia justa em malha preta. Os óculos são da Children`s Place, a faixa de cabelo de lantejoulas é da H&M (a flor eu adicionei à faixa que aliás é como um bróche com alfinete).

Skinny Jeans...

I found this really cool skinny jeans for Kids at H&M and I bought it in two different laundries, one dark and one light. I love them 'cause they go with everything and theu have a hight elastane content that allows for the kids to play and move comfortably. For this look we paired it with buttoned light blue shirt (H&M), animal print vest (Children`s Place), and huge pink sequined head piece (on sale at H&M for $5,00), a belt (this was a adult size belt that I cut and punched new holes to fit on Yanni`s waist), and this really cute suede ankle boots that I bought on sale for $6,00 at one of the CW stores (I love them since they go with everything). What do you think of the look? Yanni loved it!

Eu encontrei essa calça jeans com corte "skinny" para crianças na H&M and tive que comprar duas, uma com lavagem escura e outra com lavagem clarinha. Amo estas claças porque são modernas e vão com tudo, além disso elas tem alto teor de elastano na composição, oque permite que as criancas se sintam confortáveis para brincar e se mover. Para este look combinamos o jeans com camisa de botão azul clarinho (H&M), veste com estampa animal (Children`s Place), um arquinho de lantejoulas pink enorme (que comprei por $$5,00 na H&M), um cinto (tamanho adulto que cortei e fiz buracos novos pra caber na cintura da Yanni) e essas "ankle boots" marron de suede, a qual comprei por $6,00 numa das lojas CW (amo essas botinhas porque vão com tudo). Oque vcs acham do look? Yanni amou.
