OOTD Embroidered Shirt Collar & Lace Skirt

White lace skirt, peach chiffon top with embroidery detail on the collar knotted at the waist, white sandals, round clear framed shades, headband decorated with rinhestones, bedazzled heart shaped key necklace, golden chain bracelet, and flower chiffon earings matching her top (all accessories picked by Yanni at a Forever 21 store  this weekend). That was her look for a celebration in church this weekend.

 

 

OOTD To A Trip To The Zoo

 This look was composed to a trip to the Zoo this weekend. Such occasion requires a comfortable a easy attire so that is how we went about it: Black sequined hat, round clear framed shades (which is trendy right now), a oversized Tshirt with horse print filled with galaxy print (print filled print is cool right now as well), black shimmery leggins, silver metallic converse, and leather studded bracelet.
We had a real blast at the zoo and later headed to the mall to grab lunch at the Rain Forrest Cafe to continue with the animal exploring theme of the day and Yanni looked cool and comfortable all the way!

The Animal Face Printed Top "OOTD"

It has been weeks since I bought this top for Yanni. I bought it a H&M store at the boys section of the store. When I first saw it I fell in love and thought it would be perfect for the summer with shorts. So that is how we styled it: white shorts, golden bow belt, golden shoes, golden bow for the hair (which was kept in a hight side bun), leather  bracelet and aviator shades. There…casual cool girl look for a summery day!

Há algumas semanas atrás me deparei com esta regata com estampa "Animal Face" numas das lojas H&M. Quando a vi pensei quão perfeito ficaria com shorts pra um dia quente de verão aqui em New England. E foi assim que este look foi composto: shorts jeans branco, cindo dourado com fivela de laço, tênis dourado, laço dourado no cabelo (o qual mantivemos num coque alto inclinado pra lateral), bracelete de couro preto e óculos aviador. Pronto… look casual e com atitude, perfeito para um dia quente de verão.

Embellished Denim Shorts

Denim shorts are permanently present every Spring and Summer for being so confortable to wear. The not so new embellished denim trend that has become more popular since Rose Huntington Whitely wore the beautiful embellished denim shorts above (by Christopher Kane for J Brand) at last years Coachella is coming strong this year again and in a variety of styles: dip died, tie died, with apliques, hand painted, with prints and every thing else we can think of. So I decided to get creative and make my litle girl and fun embellished pair of shorts from some old gap pants she had. I bought a bag of this heart shaped cristals  at a local fabric store, fabric glue at our local Michaels & Craft and made some crafty magic. It is really easy and chip to make a fun pair of this and be on trend. You should try it!

Este ano ele reaparece com força total e em uma variedade de formas: "dip died", "tie died", com apliques de renda, pedrarias e tudo oque se pode imaginar. Então decidi fazer uma par para minha princesa com uma calça jeans da Gap que ela já possuía. Comprei os cristais em uma loja de tecidos local, cola de tecido, tesouras e coloquei as mãos na massa. É fácil e barato, basta ser criativo!

Fur And Shiny Leggings For A Cold Spring Day

What a beautiful cold spring day it was here in New England! It required a extra layer of clothing for some extra warmth. So here it goes: plain white T-shirt, shiny black leggings, black shoes and cute collar style necklace and a fur coat. The hair was let down to give it that soft rock feel. Chic, comfortable and cool!

Como de costume aqui em New England, tivemos um lindo porém frio dia! Para temperaturas mais fresquinhas é necessário camadas extra de roupa pra manter a temperatura do corpo. Então vai a composição do "ootd": T-shirt branca lisa, leggings com efeito brilhoso, sapatilhas pretas, um colar estilo gola com gliter e uma jaqueta de pele estampada. O cabelo ficou souto pra dar um efeito mais "rock" pro look. Chique, comfortável e "cool"!

OOTD Gone Vintage...

This look was inspired on the elegance of the 50's, the age of femininity. The dress is from H&M and all the accessories are from Children`s Place, except for the necklace (which I don't really know where it was bought!) The hair was tied in the back of the head and then fluffed on the top to create volume. And voilà!

Este "look" foi inspirado na elegância dos anos 50, a era da femininidade. O vestido é da H&M e todos os acessórios são da Children`s Place, exceto o colar (o qual na verdade não sei onde foi comprado!). O cabelo foi amarrado atrás e depois solto levemente pra criar volume no topo da cabeça. E voilà!

It Finally Feels Like Spring...

Here in New England Spring takes longer to arrive. Recently we had a gorgeous warm day and we decided to go out to a park near our house for a stroll and Yanni took the chance to show her new outfit made by daddy! It is a halter long dress with a full circle skirt and short bodice. The straps are braided and they are knotted behind the neck and on the back of the dress. To compose the look Yanni had a blue had (which was blown into the river as she looked down at the water over a bridge - bye bye hat!!!), a golden bangle and a white leather wrist band and to finish off the look this real cool studded blue sandals. The first thing she said when she put the dress on was: "I am a Cinderela!". Based on that I believe she loved the long blue dress and I hope you guys like it too!

Aqui na Nova Inglaterra a primavera chega bem devagar. Recentemente tivemos um dia lindo e quente o suficiente pra não termos que usar agasalho, então Yanni aproveitou pra usar o vestidinho novo feito pelo papai! O vestido é um frente única longo (comprimento super" trendy" para criança). Pra completar o look adicionamos um chapéus azul pra proteger do sol (o qual acabou caindo no lago ao soprar do vento- bye bye chapéu!!!) pulseira dourada e bracelete de couro, e sandálias com tachinhas. A primeira coisa que Yanni disse ao se vestir foi :"Agora sou uma Cinderela!". Baseado nisso creio q ela amou o vestido, espero q vocês gostem também!

Colorful Animal Print Peplum Dress

I really love the peplum trend and I have been looking for a peplum dress for my princess for a while unsuccessfully. So I decided to put my sewing skills to work once again and make my daughter a very exclusive made to measure peplum dress. In my search for material I found this gorgeous happy colorful animal print and had to buy it. Here is the result posted in this pics. I styled it with a light denim jacket (H&M), purple tights (Children's Place), purple studded shoes, white studded leather wristband (H&M) and an oversized flower sequined headband (H&M). Yanni loved it! I hope you guys do too!

Eu estou curtindo um monte essa tedência do peplum and tenho procurado sem muito sucesso um vestido peplum para minha princesa. Então decidi por em prática mais uma vez minhas habilidades pra costura and fazer um vestidinho exclusivo feito sobre medida pra minha filhota. Na minha procura por tecido eu encontrei esta malha com estampa"animal print" colorido and tive que comprar. Aqui está o resultado nas fotos. Pra compor o look optamos por jaqueta jeans clarinha da H&M, meia roxinha, sapato roxo com tachinhas, bracelete de couro branco com tachinas coloridas (H&M) uma faixa de paetê com flor "oversized" branca pro cabelo (H&M). Minha clientezinha e eu amamos o resultado e espero que vocês também gostem!

In the coming days I will be creating a series of posts inspired on some of my favorite celebrity kids. To kick off I am posting on one of the most successful celebrity designer and style icon Gwen Stefani.

The Mullet Trend

Turns out skirts and dresses aren’t the only garments bringing back the mullet look; shirts are too! Perfect for Spring with the asymmetrical design of the hemline, it creates a flowy edge, softening any look. I decided to make my own for Yanni since it is so hard to find anything mullet for kids! It`s styled with white denim shorts, colored snickers and a sequined band with a oversized flower on top. Yanni loved the flowy red top as she jumped around on that nice spring day we had yesterday!

A tendência do mullet não aparece somente nos vestidos e saias mas também nos tops como camisas e T-shirts. Tendência perfeita para o "Spring" com a assimetria da barra, ela cria uma calda leve que suaviza o "look". Decidi encarar a máquina de costura mais uma vez e fazer uma regata mullet para minha princesa, uma vez que é tão difícil encontrar algo assim pra criança! Combinamos a regata com shortezinho jeans, tênis colorido de cadarço e uma faixa de cabelo de lantejoulas com flor "oversized" branca. Yanni amou o "look" mullet que usou ontem pra brincar uma vez q o dia aqui em New England esteve mais quentinho!

AVEN for Edgy Boys Fashion

While browsing online I found this super cool brand that makes boy`s fashion named AVEN. Although I do not have a boy I was in love with their products. Here is a bit about them: "AVEN is a result of a combined vision between Angie Monson and Mitch Harris.  Angie, an accomplished family photographer, saw a need for another option for boys clothing as her clients expressed frustration in finding something for their children to wear.  In due time Mitch was introduced to Angie after returning to Utah from Los Angeles where he earned a degree in fashion design. Together they established AVEN in January of 2011.  Since the establishment Angie and Mitch have sought to bring an edgy, unique, street style for young boys and the savvy mom and shopper to the world of fashion." Enquanto surfava online encontrei uma marca super bacana especializada em moda pra meninos chamada AVEN. Eu não tenho um menino mas me apaixonei pelos produtos da marca.
